Emails on Your Computer

Set up your email account in your mail client

e.g. Outlook or Outlook Express

> ‘Tools’ > ‘Accounts’ > ‘Add New Mail Account’ > Follow the wizard

Login Username: full email address

Password: as set up for this mailbox

Incoming server: mail.yourdomain.co.uk (or .com .net etc)

(replacing ‘yourdomain.co.uk’ with your own domain name)

Outgoing server: same as the incoming server

Then Go to.. (optional)

> ‘More Settings’ > tick to leave a copy on the server

 

Set Higher Security Level for Your Emails..

This is important if using a laptop or computer away from the Internet connection you manage or can fully trust.

Input the number 995 to the incoming server security box

Input the number 465 to the outgoing server security box

Specify number of days after which to delete from server (depending on the number of emails you typically receive)

e.g. start with 5 and reduce to 2 if your mailbox is too full

You will now be able to view your emails on your webmail for up to 10 or 5 days even after downloading them to your computer.

Your single email size limit is 15MB

Your total mailbox size limit is 40MB

(unless you have arranged for a larger limit)

You can have up to 5 mailboxes free of charge
